Energy cost subsidy for companies is coming
Energy-intensive* companies with a permanent establishment in Austria will be supported to cushion the increase in energy costs. This is to be achieved with a new subsidy amounting to 30% of the additional costs for electricity, natural gas and partly also fuels in the period from 1 February to 30 September 2022.
The grant funding was launched by the Austrian Federal Government together with the Austria Wirtschaftsservice (aws).
Pre-registration for the energy cost subsidy is possible with the aws subsidy manager** for companies up to and including 28 November 2022.
Pre-registration is mandatory for subsequent applications for the energy cost subsidy. There is an exception for the flat-rate subsidy.
The application itself is possible from 29 November 2022 to 15 February 2023.
