As an ingenious partner of industry and public institutions, AIT is already researching and developing the technologies, methods and tools of tomorrow for innovations of the day after tomorrow. The main research areas include Energy, Mobility Systems, Low-Emission Transport, Health & Bioresources, Digital Safety & Security, Vision, Automation & Control and Technology Experience as well as Innovation Systems & Policy. At the Tulln site in Lower Austria, the AIT Centre for Health & Bioresources conducts research into the sustainable and resource-saving promotion of plant growth by microorganisms, the rapid detection of pests and fungi, and the control of pathogens and weeds. The AIT BioSensor Technologies Group develops novel odour sensors for industrial and research applications in Tulln.
